Welcome to Firestone Engineering!
This course is the first step you will take on the four year journey called Project Lead the Way. Introduction to Engineering Design (or IED) is the base course for everything else you will ever do in Firestone's Career Ed Pre-Engineering Program, and one of the three required "Foundation" courses to graduate with a PLTW diploma. It is the pre-requisite to every other PLTW course offered at Firestone.

Understanding the Design Process Creating Technical Sketches In-Depth use of the Auto-Cad Program Inventor (see image left top) Practice solving Engineering problems with real world application Learning about the different branches of Engineering Experience working as team Knowledge of the creation and importance of the Engineering Notebook |
