Digital Electronics
This course is the second step you will take on the four year journey called Project Lead the Way. Digital Electronics (DE) is usually taken in your third year, and is focused on the ability to read, write and build from wiring diagrams, specifically AOI logic. It is also one of the three recommended "Foundation" courses to graduate with a PLTW diploma.
Highlights of this course include:
Understanding of Logic Reading SOP and POS logic expressions Wiring your own Breadboard Knowledge of Boolean Algebra Learning Simple Binary Coding Ability to Troubleshoot a Wired Circuit Learning about the different branches of Engineering |
"From smart phones to appliances, digital circuits are all around us. This course provides a foundation for students who are interested in electrical engineering, electronics, or circuit design. Students study topics such as combinational and sequential logic and are exposed to circuit design tools used in industry, including logic gates, integrated circuits, and programmable logic devices."
